EXCESSIVE DISTANCE GAPS BETWEN YOUR WEDGES OFTEN RESULT FROM LARGE LOFT GAPS

Fact:  6 to 11 degree gaps in loft between your pitching wedge and your sand wedge is very common.

Problem: This results in an excessive distance gap between the 2 wedges and a bunch of 1/2 or 3/4 pitching wedges... difficult shots to pull off.

Solution:  Have us build you a ‘gap’ wedge or have your existing wedges adjusted to reduce the gap. More consistency with your scoring clubs is your benefit.

Your irons should have consistent loft changes of 3 or 4 degrees from one iron to the next. However, 6 to 11 degrees in loft between your pitching wedge and your sand wedge is a fact of life. Pitching wedge lofts range from 45 to 48 degrees. Sand wedge lofts range from 54 to 56 degrees. Since loft is your most important club spec for distance in the wedges, the result is a big distance gap between the 2 wedges.

Tom Rustad has the expertise to actually change the lofts of your wedges and reduce the gap between them. It would also be advisable to have us calibrate all your wedges so that your club specifications are accurate. When? How about tomorrow?
